If youre going to go to school its hard to work many hours a week and keep up with your classes said Sherry Sofia chief of staff for George. It could be those people who have a part-time job and no benefits provided by their employer who are helped.

  • Festival draws crowd, showcases 100 films

    Gold stars on the floor led the way to theaters in Wells Hall showcasing 100 films from around the country during the East Lansing Film Festival. The movies most of which were independently produced might not have sounded familiar to students and local residents but they attracted a crowd. Attendants and volunteers were buzzing about the turnout and the shows.

    We have heard quite a lot about the evil terrorists during the past few years but we have heard strikingly little about how people become terrorists. It is assumed terrorism is some inscrutable aberration 8212 that terrorists are either evil or insane and they are driven only by blind fanatical hatred. But this does not appear to give a full picture. Several attempts have been made to identify the path by which one adopts terrorism the latest of which is a handy volume by anthropologist Marc Sageman titled 8220Leaderless Jihad.8221

    Soon lab animals might not spend their entire lives in the laboratory. Thanks to one student and a mistake in a shipment of hamsters to an MSU lab for a research project the university might create an official policy for placing rodents unneeded for research up for adoption.

    Jon-Marc Eyer head mechanic of the MSU Bikes Service Center works on upgrading a customers antique bike into a bike usable for daily riding. The Bikes Service Center is a full-service bike repair and rental facility located under Bessey Hall.
